Job summary

Dana Safety Supply, Inc. is hiring an Emergency Vehicle Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect emergency response vehicles and related equipment.

You’ll work on lighting, radios, cameras, docking stations, prisoner transport systems, and other upfitting components to keep fleets compliant and operational. The role requires hands-on experience with 12V/24V systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive electrical systems or emergency vehicle installation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 75 pounds.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure emergency vehicle equipment (lights, sirens, radios, antennas, cameras, docking stations).
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues and decommission vehicles when needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections to ensure readiness and compliance with standards.
• Read wiring diagrams, manuals, schematics, and installation instructions.
• Test and verify functionality of emergency lighting, radios, GPS, and mobile data terminals.
• Maintain records, installation documentation, and inventory.
