Job summary
Dana Safety Supply is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician/Installer & Ballistic Glass to join our growing team in California. This role handles installation, repair, and maintenance of ballistic glass in law enforcement and emergency vehicles, and installs high-tech 12-volt equipment.
Ideal candidates have automotive or marine 12V experience, strong wiring skills, ability to work in tight spaces, and a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of vehicle wiring and ability to identify/troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Minimum of 2 years automotive or marine 12V experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
- EVT certification desired but not required.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in ballistic glass installation and emergency vehicle equipment.
- Installation & Integration: Professionally install 12V electrical components including light bars, sirens, flashers, in-car video systems, and radio communications.
- Technical Assembly: Mount and secure vehicle hardware such as transport partitions, consoles, equipment racks, laptops, and printers.
- Networking & Comms: Install and configure antennas, routers, and GPS systems.
- Quality Control: Test, troubleshoot, and repair 12V circuits and equipment to ensure 100% functionality and safety compliance.
