Job summary

Safe Industries is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, repair, and inspect fire apparatus, heavy trucks, and emergency response equipment. You will work in a fast-paced shop, using diagnostic software and OEM information to ensure safety, reliability, and readiness.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant repair experience, a CDL or ability to obtain it within six months, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in heavy truck, diesel, automotive, commercial vehicle, or related equipment repair.
• Valid CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment based on business need; must maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage repair activities efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
• Experience using diagnostic software, OEM service information, shop equipment, and hand tools.
• Ability to complete accurate digital work orders and repair documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair fire apparatus, heavy trucks, and emergency equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair activities to ensure reliability and readiness.
• Utilize diagnostic software and OEM information to resolve issues.
• Document complaints, causes, corrections, and labor in systems and work orders.
• Communicate progress and additional needs to shop leadership and service personnel.
