Job summary

Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Technician for per diem, part-time shifts on weekdays and weekends with a variable schedule. You will work closely with the emergency team to provide direct patient care and assist physicians and nurse practitioners during procedures.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association is required at hire.
• Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) annually at hire.
• 1 year of relevant patient care or clinical experience; experience during certification/licensure, military medical service, or senior clinical nursing student also considered.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the emergency team to provide direct patient care and optimize outcomes.

Job description

Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually
• 1 year Relevant experience; patient care or clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate
