Job summary

Providence Newberg Medical Center is seeking staff to work with the emergency team to provide direct patient care and support during procedures. The role involves preparing sutures, supplies, and equipment and maintaining sterile technique to ensure optimal outcomes.

Candidates should have a National Provider BLS certification, PMAB annually, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. EMT/Paramedic or Medical Assistant/CNA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required upon hire.
• PMAB training required upon hire.
• 1 year of relevant patient care or clinical experience preferred.
• Experience during certification/licensure, military medical experience, or senior clinical nursing student also considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to optimize outcomes.
• Assist physician or nurse practitioner during procedures by providing sutures, supplies, and instruments.

Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually
• 1 year Relevant experience; patient care or clinical experience preferred.
• Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate
