Job summary

Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Technician for a per diem, part-time position with variable shifts across weekdays and weekends. Qualifications include BLS and PMAB requirements, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience during certification/licensure.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) requires certification on hire.
• PMAB annually required on hire.
• 1 year relevant patient care or clinical experience preferred.

• Assist physician/NP during procedures with sutures, supplies, and equipment; maintain sterile technique.

Emergency Technician at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is a per diem part time position working during weekdays and weekends on a variable shift.

Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually
• 1 year Relevant experience; patient care or clinical experience preferred.
• Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate
