Job summary

AEP is seeking a Station Servicer in Fostoria, OH to perform installation, maintenance and operation of station equipment. You will respond to emergency calls, conduct switching for line maintenance, and inspect equipment to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires strong electrical knowledge, a CDL and the ability to work overtime when needed. Qualified candidates have an associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience, plus two years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance technology or equivalent education/experience.
• 24 months of satisfactory work experience as Station Servicer A or Station Electrician A with requirements.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls on station trouble and coordinate restoration of service.
• Perform routine and emergency switching operations at substations as directed by authority.
• Oversee maintenance contractors and inspect stations; report major repairs.
• Read electrical drawings and operate equipment safely; document readings and faults.
