Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers is seeking personnel to support winter weather operations, including snow removal and road treatment. Candidates must be able to operate medium to heavy equipment and carry out related tasks during day or night shifts.

Position requires CDL with DOT medical card, valid license, and ability to perform heavy manual labor up to 50 lbs. Safety shoes are mandatory and on-site work is required.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Operations: Assist and support operations for clearing snow and ice from roadways and applying abrasives and chemicals.
• Manual Labor: Perform heavy manual labor such as plow work, debris removal and related tasks.
• Perform duties as assigned: Perform duties, tasks, activities and/or projects as assigned.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on equipment used to clear roadways.
