Job summary

MnDOT District 8 is recruiting Emergency Snow Plow Operators (Transportation Generalist) to cover multiple district truck stations in Willmar and surrounding areas. These intermittent, emergency positions require the ability to report within one hour and to work nights, weekends, and holidays with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• One year of snow/ice or related road maintenance experience.
• CDL Class A or B with no air brake restriction.
• Ability to read, write and understand logs and notices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain roadways for snow and ice control.
• Inspect and prepare winter equipment.
• Record snow/ice data for inventory management.
• Set up traffic control and report vehicle issues.
