Job summary

Legacy Health's Emergency Services Technician in Portland provides direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, assisting the LIP, RN, and Unit Secretary to ensure smooth patient flow with compassionate, high‑quality care. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, current BLS for Provider, and prior emergency department experience; CNA/MA/EMT are preferred.

Excellent communication and the ability to prioritize in critical moments are essential.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent (required).
Current American Heart Association BLS for Provider certification required.
Prior emergency department experience preferred.
CNA/MA/EMT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP), Registered Nurse (RN), and Unit Secretary in the ED.
Provide direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under RN supervision.
Demonstrate effective communication with patients, visitors, EMS, and hospital staff.
Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies.
Maintain knowledge of Credentialing Competencies required for Emergency Services Technicians.
Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and conduct.
Participate in rotating shifts as scheduled.
