Job summary

Heartline Staffing seeks a Nurse Manager (RN) for Emergency Services in Dallas, TX to lead a busy ED. The role oversees clinical and operational nursing services, staffing, budgeting, quality initiatives, and regulatory readiness in a 41-room ED with ~35 FTEs.

The position requires a BSN, Texas RN license, BLS, ED leadership experience, and ASAP to 18-month certification plans for ACLS/PALS and TNCC/ENPC/CEN.

Qualifications

• BSN is REQUIRED
• Texas RN license (or Multi-State Compact) is REQUIRED
• Current BLS Certification REQUIRED
• Minimum five years of progressive nursing leadership experience REQUIRED
• Emergency Department leadership experience REQUIRED
• Experience with staffing REQUIRED
• Experience with budgeting REQUIRED
• Experience managing physician relationships REQUIRED
• Quality improvement experience REQUIRED
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire REQUIRED
• TNCC, ENPC, or CEN within 18 months of hire REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Emergency Department.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and employee performance.
• Develop collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and best practices.
• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Monitor department metrics, patient satisfaction, and throughput.
• Assist with budget preparation and fiscal accountability.
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
