Guilford County is seeking an EMS Logistics Technician to inspect, stock, fuel, and clean EMS vehicles and deliver materials to EMS supply points. The role requires knowledge of department equipment and the ability to work with limited supervision, following governing policies and regulations.
The position includes maintaining records, ensuring vehicle readiness, and performing required safety and driving checks, with driving as an essential duty in county operations.
Responsible for the inspection, stocking, fueling, and cleaning of Emergency Services vehicles and delivery of materials to EMS supply points. This position requires that the employee must have a proficient understanding of the materials and equipment used in our department.
They EMS Logistics Technician must check and resupply each EMS unit with materials and equipment as required. The employee is also responsible for cleaning the unit, checking all operational light and driving systems and ensuring that it has passed all required operational checks. The position will often be expected to carry out assignments without direct supervision. Must be able to use governing policies and regulations and general guidelines to guide decisions and actions.
High school graduation or equivalent, and one year of experience related to logistics, warehouse supply, or inventory management services.
Driving is an essential requirement of this position whether driving a County owned or personal vehicle to conduct county business. Motor Vehicle Reports may be verified for valid driver’s license and that the driving record is compatible with the county’s driving criteria. If a personal vehicle is operated for county business proper insurance is maintained as per Guilford County’s vehicle use policy.
