Emergency Services Assistant - 36 hour Day - BWH Emergency DepartmentJob Summary
Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Licenses and Credentials
Experience
Experience working in clinical setting 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bi-lingual skills preferred.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
- May not currently hold a valid nursing license.
