The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL is seeking a part-time Safety and Security Dispatcher to act as the central hub for daily logistics, safety protocols, and emergency response.

You will coordinate bus and transport requests, monitor CCTV, and manage emergency communications. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional communication, stays calm under pressure, and is familiar with mass notification software, radio dispatch, CCTV, and guard-management software.

Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to remain calm, authoritative, and clear under stress.
• Familiarity with mass notification software, radio dispatch systems, CCTV, and Guard Management Software.
• Strong critical-thinking skills to quickly assess situations, prioritize urgent requests, and deploy correct resources.
• Proven ability to manage multiple radio frequencies, phone lines, and software applications simultaneously.
• High School Diploma or GED; minimum of 2 years of experience in security dispatch, transit dispatch, or a high-volume command center.

• Coordinate and dispatch the organizations bus and transport fleet on request from staff.
