Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (RBHC) seeks a Screening Clinician for the Acute Psychiatric Services (APS). The role delivers psychiatric emergency services, screening, and outreach assessments across ages.

Competence in crisis assessment and disposition planning is required, with collaboration with families and services to ensure safe follow-through. The position is on-site per diem with 19 hours weekly, offering competitive compensation and benefits in a dynamic clinical setting

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a mental health related field from an accredited institution.
• 1 year post-master, full time, professional experience in a psychiatric setting.

Responsabilités

• Provides an in-depth clinical assessment for all persons served.
• Identifies the appropriate level of care disposition from DSM-5 criteria and clinical expertise.
• Understands the impact of age, cognitive functioning and developmental level.
• Involves person, family and significant others in developing a plan for disposition and explains referral/disposition clearly.
