Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health field is required.
• At least four years of postgraduate experience in related community mental health and/or case management work.
• Active NJ certification/licensure if degree is in Social Work as required by the State Board of Social Work.
• Eligibility for certification as a Psychiatric Screener in New Jersey is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff in the Newark Screening program.
• Oversees daily supervision and provides administrative and clinical direction for assigned shifts.
• Maintains confidentiality and enforces limits of authority and responsibility.
• Monitors staff performance with semi-annual reviews and ensures continuing education compliance.
• Addresses performance issues via progressive discipline per HR policies.
• Schedules and coordinates daily staff activities and participates in staff hiring.
