• Six months of hands-on patient care experience required, in any acute, long-term, or home care setting.
• Fairview OnTrack Nursing Assistant training completion can fulfill requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with patient care activities and act as nurse extender.
• Transport patients and equipment, and maintain rooms and supplies.
• Document care on nursing records clearly and timely.
• Respond to patient calls and protect patient dignity and confidentiality.
• Perform quality control checks on equipment and assist in resuscitation as needed.
