Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to join our Emergency Department. Under the immediate direction of the nurse, ERTs performs non-professional nursing care tasks for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and other duties deemed necessary to provide an environment conducive to patient care.

As an Emergency Room Technician, you will perform delegated patient care functions, safely, effectively, timely and efficiently, based on the age

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a nursing assistant program or EMT training program.
• Experience in an acute or long-term care setting as Nursing Assistant or ER Tech (2080 hours) preferred.
• Current EMT certification (MN and/or National) required on start date.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification (MN) required on start date.

Responsabilités

• As an Emergency Room Technician, perform delegated patient care functions under nurse supervision.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Demonstrate collaboration with health care team members and across the organization.
• Participate as an effective unit and nursing department member.
• Maintain and update clinical knowledge.
