Job summary

Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to join our Emergency Department. Under the immediate direction of the nurse, ERTs performs non-professional nursing care tasks for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and other duties deemed necessary to provide an environment conducive to patient care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required, plus CNA or EMT training or 2080 hours hospital experience.
• Current EMT certification (MN and/or National).
• Current Nursing Assistant certification (MN).
• CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers required at start of employment.
• Experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred.

• Perform delegated patient care functions safely, effectively and timely based on patient age and needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Demonstrate collaborative working relationships with the health care team and across the organization.
