Job summary

Hudson Hospital & Clinic in Hudson, WI is seeking an Emergency Room Technician (ERT) to support coordination of patient care in the Emergency Center under the guidance of the RN. The ERT provides direct patient care to EC patients and assists with clinical tasks as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with benefits for 0.5 FTE or greater and opportunities to contribute to urgent care services in the Hudson community.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required at hire/start date.
• Eligible for WI EMT Certification, WI Nursing Assistant certification, or ER Technician experience (2080 hours in 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care in the Emergency Center under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Provide direct care to patients within the Emergency Center.

Education

Current BLS certification

WI EMT Certification

WI Nursing Assistant certification

Job description

Responsible for coordination of patient care in the Emergency Center (EC) as the Emergency Room Technician (ERT). Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), the Emergency Room Technician (ERT) is responsible for direct care of the patients within the EC.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification required at time of hire/start date.
• Must have at least one of the following:
  • Current WI EMT Certification
  • Current WI Nursing Assistant certification with experience in an acute care setting (minimum 2080 hours worked within last 2 years)
  • Experience as an Emergency Room Technician (minimum 2080 hours worked within last 2 years)

Preferred Qualifications

• Current beside experience preferred.
• Electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Clerical experience preferred.
