Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Marlborough, MA. This non-exempt, full-time role offers a hiring range of $38.65–$78.34 per hour, based on a 40-hour schedule. Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS is current.
• Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Experience/Skills: Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing; qualifying education and experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others per job description and competency.
• Documents patient care per standard procedure.
• Develops and documents Education Plan for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other providers.
• Administers medications and performs treatments per policy.
• Assists physician with treatments and procedures and special tests as required.
• Participates in Nursing Governance activities.
• Engages in professional development and staff education.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
