Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, seeks an RN Staff for Emergency Services on the day shift.

You will be responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame, using the nursing process and collaborating with the health care team. This role supervises LPNs, unit assistants, Monitor Technicians, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians, ensuring safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire) through ILCOR providers (e.g., AHA, Red Cross) with manikin check-off.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame, using the nursing process and collaboration with the health care team.
• Supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, CNAs, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
• Ensures patient safety and quality of care in the Emergency Services department.
