St. Tammany Health System is seeking a registered nurse to oversee a patient group during scheduled shifts, ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process and collaboration with the health care team.
The role requires active supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, unit assistants, monitor technicians, CNAs, nurse technicians, unit clerks and paramedic technicians, with a focus on quality and efficiency in a demanding ED setting.

Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.
Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time, lifting at least 20 pounds, and working with a moderate level of noise.
Physical effort required: Constant (67%-100%) - seeing. Frequently (34%-66%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling/feeling, talking, hearing. Occasionally (1%-33%) - climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), stooping, crouching.
