Job summary

Baptist Health in Montgomery, AL is seeking an ED RN for the third shift at Baptist Medical Center East. The Registered Nurse will supervise nursing staff on shift, coordinate patient care, and ensure quality and continuity of care for patients in the Emergency Department.

The role requires BSN preferred, active RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS depending on area. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required, BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required, BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending upon area assigned.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Responsibilities

• General supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, and during weekends and holidays.
• Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
• The RN will collaborate with Physicians and other healthcare clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care.
• This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
