Job summary

Halifax Health ExpressCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Port Orange Freestanding Emergency Department. The RN will assess patients, plan and implement nursing care, and collaborate with the care team to achieve timely, quality outcomes.

The role requires active Florida RN licensure, completion of orientation, and strong communication with patients and families. Candidates should be prepared to document nursing assessments regularly and participate in ongoing competency training.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida.
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred.
• Completion of general and unit orientation, and competency checklist.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Direct, delegate and coordinate care with LPNs, CNAs, and unit staff.
• Document assessment data on admission and ongoing basis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Administer medications according to established policies.
