Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Florida.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of general and unit orientation.
• Completion of unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families and colleagues.
• Certifications as required by the unit/area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and monitor ongoing status.
• Plan and coordinate care based on assessments and patient needs.
• Involve family/significant others in the care plan as desired by the patient.
• Initiate teaching plans for discharge and positive outcomes.
• Administer medications according to policies and physician orders.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Document assessment data on admission and as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
• Support continuous learning and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
