Job summary

Halifax Health ExpressCare in Port Orange, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, direct the nursing team, and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure timely, safe interventions.

Candidates must hold a Florida RN license; a BSN is preferred. You will participate in orientation, annual competency modules, and uphold confidentiality and Cornerstone standards while delivering compassionate, patient-centered

Qualifications

• State of Florida RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Completion of unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist.
• Excellent communication skills with physicians, patients, family, and colleagues.
• Certifications as required by the specific unit/area.
• Completion of annual competency based learning modules (CBLs).
• Professionalism and ethical nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient on admission and monitor ongoing status.
• Plan and coordinate care based on assessment and patient needs.
• Involve family/significant others in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Initiate individualized teaching on admission to ensure positive outcomes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Initiate and verify physician orders; utilize nursing judgment.
• Administer medications according to established policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Contribute to a safe environment and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
