Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital Hanover is seeking a Registered Nurse dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, using established nursing models to assess, perform, teach, and manage patient needs.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN or have graduated from an accredited nursing program, with an active Virginia RN license (or compact).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Virginia RN license or compact multistate license.
• ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and document care.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, status, treatment, and follow-up.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management and healthy lifestyle changes.
