Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital Hanover is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. The RN will use established nursing models to support an unparalleled patient experience and outcomes.

Qualifying candidates should have an active VA RN license (compact allowed), BSN preferred, and complete ACLS/BLS within 30 days of start. ER experience of at least 1 year is required with readiness to obtain PALS within the first

Qualifications

• Current VA RN license or compact multistate license.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• PALS within 1 year of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days.
• Minimum 1 year ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care per department standards.
• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Document administration of care promptly in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up.
