Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute setting, working with physicians and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will assess patients on admission and each shift, document care, administer medications, respond to requests, and educate patients and families about conditions and treatments to ensure understanding and adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Licensed a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least six months inpatient RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), documenting care in the medical record and administering prescribed medications.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and educating patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
