Job summary

• AD and Diploma nurses are hired, but BSN must be obtained within five years of hire.
• RN licensure in Ohio with current registration and BLS certification.
• ACLS required within six months for step-down/ICU areas; MSN/DNP not required but accepted as superseding BSN.

Responsibilities

• Perform holistic assessments of patients across physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs.
• Recognize abnormal data and report changes to physician and charge RN.
• Communicate the plan of care using SBAR and handoff processes.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide ongoing patient and family education aligned with the care plan.
• Respond to emergencies with precise, skillful action.
• Maintain a safe environment using protective equipment and infection control measures.
