Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System seeks a Registered Nurse with more than 12 months of experience to provide and coordinate care within a clinical specialty. You will work as a fully integrated member of the patient care services team, using the institution's care delivery models and nursing mission.

The RN is responsible for assessment, care planning, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Maryland or eligibility through compact is required.
• BSN is preferred for this role.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• PALS and NRP certifications are desirable.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the Patient Care Team providing direct patient care within the unit.
• Performs assessments and develops a goal-directed plan of care with patient/family.
• Documents care accurately and timely in the patient record.
• Delegates tasks to care team members and collaborates with the Case Manager.
• Ensures patient safety and participates in safety initiatives.
