Job summary

Medina Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for full-time roles in the ER with day shifts in Hondo, TX. Current Texas RN licensure and BSN are required; BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications must be completed within specified timelines.

At least one year of Med/Surg, CCU, or ED experience is preferred; a sign-on bonus of $10K is offered. Candidates will provide nursing care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, document care, and participate in patient education and safety

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license and BSN.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC within required timeframes.
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg, Critical Care and ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine medical problems and document in chart.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation and understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during treatment and examination.
• Review physician orders, labs, and reports as needed.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety; observe and report vital signs and reactions.
• Provide patient education; document nursing history and services performed.
• Perform duties within licensure and hospital policy; participate in quality improvement activities.
