Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso offers the HCA Healthcare Residency Program, a paid, year-long transition from student nurse to registered nurse. It provides hands-on clinical experiences, educator support, and structured mentorship to develop clinical skills and critical thinking.

The RN Resident delivers high-quality, patient-centered care, participates in learning experiences, and contributes to an evidence-based project.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• RN License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous nursing experience required.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other orders from providers and document care.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and escalate as needed.
• Deliver exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.
• Teach patients and families about condition, plan, meds, and follow-up.
