Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX, offers an HCA Healthcare Residency Program for a year-long transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The RN Resident will receive advanced clinical training, mentorship from nurse leaders, and hands-on simulations in a supportive environment.

The program includes monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, and a collaborative project, with a Spring 2027 cohort in Med Surg.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Graduate Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other function as ordered, document care in medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and notify provider of adverse effects.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients, families and caregivers about condition, plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

RN License or Graduate Nurse in the State
