Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER. The role works with physicians and care teams to provide compassionate care and ensure positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 1+ year ER experience, RN license, and an Associate Degree. Certifications such as ACLS/BCLS, NVI within required timelines are needed.

Qualifications

• RN with 1+ years ER experience required
• ACLS/BCLS within specified timeframes post-employment
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days
• PALS within 6 months
• RN license and Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and document care in the medical record
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
• Educate patients/families/caregivers about condition, treatment, and follow-up
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up, lifestyle changes, and self-management
