Job summary

Parkridge West Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Nurse (PRN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED. The RN coordinates care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, using established nursing models to support outcomes and experience.

Requirements include 1+ year ER experience, ACLS/BLS within 30 days, and PALS within 6 months of start date, plus Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days. Associate degree and RN licensure are expected.

Qualifications

• RN with 1+ years ER experience.
• ACLS and BLS obtained within stated timelines.
• PALS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within required windows.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and manage accordingly.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and document care in records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
• Explain care plans and healthy lifestyle recommendations to patients.
