Job summary

Medina Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and support clinical teams on site in Texas. You will interview patients, document conditions, administer medications, prepare equipment, monitor vital signs, and respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and hospital policy.

The role requires a Texas RN license, a BSN, and completion of required certifications within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure.
BSN degree required.
BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications or timelines as specified.
RN license or GN permit with Texas licensing requirements.
1 year of Med/Surg, CCU or ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Interview patient to determine medical problem and document in chart.
Explain procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation.
Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques.
Prepare equipment and assist physician during treatment and examination.
Review orders, labs and reports; monitor patient condition and notify physicians as needed.
Record vital signs and detect deviations from normal; respond to emergencies per policy.
Document nursing history, assessments and services provided.
Educate patient and family according to needs and policy.
Provide patient care across neonate to geriatric populations; observe growth and development.
Attend in-service training and participate in quality improvement activities.
