Dignity Health - Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking an ED Tech to provide essential support and direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The role focuses on admissions/discharges, vital signs, documentation, and collaborative care with nurses and physicians.

The ideal candidate has ED/EMS experience, CPR/AHA certification, and an EMT credential (CA) or NREMT-Basic. EKG experience is preferred and a calm, proactive demeanor is essential for timely patient care.

Qualificações

• One year of direct patient care in an ED, ambulance, fire, or emergent pre-hospital setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• EMT certification (CA) or NREMT-Basic.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs, and document observations to support nursing and physicians.
• Maintain clean, organized ED environment and record care provided.
• Demonstrate adaptability and calm, proactive communication with patients and families.
• Report and document changes in patient conditions and vital signs to licensed staff.
• Follow Chain of Command procedures as needed and ensure accurate weights are recorded.
