Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to assist in patient care under RN and physician supervision. You will help with supplies, equipment, and direct patient care to support rapid movement through the ED/UCC system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining department supplies and equipment and support direct patient care as directed by RN/Physician.
• Assist with procedures as ordered by physician.
• Check and document vital signs as directed.
• Obtain, label and transport specimens (blood, urine, feces, sputum) as assigned.
• Answer patient call lights and report needs to appropriate staff promptly.
• Adhere to C-I-CARE standards in all interactions with patients and families.
