Job summary

Carson Valley Health in Gardnerville, NV seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for night shifts on a per diem basis. Requires an associate degree in nursing, a current Nevada RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, TNCC within 6 months, and ED experience preferred. Per diem adds 15% to hourly rate; work hours are as-needed to cover shifts. The RN will assess, treat, and educate patients, collaborate with the care team, and document care in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and communicate in English; bilingual abilities preferred.
• Minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing.
• Current Nevada RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC within 6 months of hire.
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide high-quality ED care.
• Provide patient care, evaluate outcomes, adjust care plans as needed.
• Perform system assessments and monitor vital parameters.
• Communicate discharge planning and educate patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and ensure safe medication administration.
