Job summary

Valley Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) on the night shift at the VMC Main Campus in Renton, WA. This full-time RN position (0.9 FTE) requires strong leadership, clinical judgment, and commitment to safe patient care across all age groups.

The ED RN will coordinate staff assignments, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to standards, documentation, and patient safety while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and WA RN license required.
• Graduate nurse residency or RN experience required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross).
• Demonstrates leadership and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, guides, and facilitates workflow on the unit.
• Make staff assignments reflecting patient acuity and care needs.
• Mentors staff and integrates new personnel into unit culture.
