Job summary

SageWest Health Care is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department to provide direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity setting, following nursing processes to ensure safe outcomes across the lifespan.

The role requires strong triage, assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, with emphasis on infection control and patient education in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred, not required.
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Diploma program accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs triage and prioritizes patient care based on acuity.
• Conducts age-appropriate assessments and reassessments of all patients.
• Administers medications, performs procedures, and manages critical drips.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures in the emergency department.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets cardiac rhythms.
• Documents care, treatment, assessments, and education accurately and timely.
• Applies infection control and sterile technique practices consistently.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team for optimal care delivery.
• Responds calmly and professionally in high-stress, life-threatening situations.
