Job summary

Watertown Regional Medical Center, located in Watertown, Wisconsin, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The ED RN will provide direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity setting, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe, effective care across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, TNCC/ASLS per policy
• Emergency department experience preferred (acute care)

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and prioritize patient care by acuity
• Administer medications and manage IVs and drips
• Support physicians during exams and procedures in ED
• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms
• Document care and education accurately and timely
• Adhere to infection control and sterile techniques
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for optimal care
• Respond effectively in high-stress, life-threatening situations
