Job summary

Watertown Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department to provide direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity setting. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting patient education at discharge.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Wisconsin or a compact state, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications and a BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Wisconsin or a compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI certifications within facility policy timeframes.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs triage and prioritizes patient care based on acuity.
• Conducts age-appropriate assessments and reassessments of all patients.
• Administers medications, performs procedures, and manages critical drips.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures in the emergency department.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets cardiac rhythms.
• Documents care, treatment, assessments, and education accurately and timely.
• Applies infection control and sterile technique practices consistently.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team for optimal care delivery.
