Job summary

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics in the United States who are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care. This role leads on-scene care and supports 911 response teams with ambulances and critical procedures.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility, a valid state driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS at hire with PALS preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility.
  • State Driver's License is required.
  • BLS and ACLS required upon hire; PALS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while following Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids to provide advanced care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance that care is being given.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
