Job summary

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include responding to 911 calls, leading on-scene operations, and providing advanced medical care with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.

Strong communication with patients and families is essential. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility, a valid state driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification.
• State driver’s license required.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS is preferred, but not required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while following Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance during care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
