Job summary

Centerra Group seeks a Shift Coordinator to oversee site operations under limited supervision, ensuring safety, cost efficiency, and full regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include monitoring emergency calls, coordinating with off-site agencies, activating warnings, and dispatching responders.

You will interface with management, auditors, and teams to maintain readiness and safety, performing duties across varied security and operations functions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field and 7+ years of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of and experience with nuclear facility operations.
• Experience in emergency response as a member of the plant's Emergency Response Organization.
• Knowledge of and experience with DOE nuclear facility safety requirements.
• Attention to detail and capacity to follow safety policies.
• Expert PC skills including Microsoft software.
• DOE L or Q clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and receive emergency calls to the Central Control Facility 24/7.
• Receive calls from personnel reporting issues 24/7.
• Serve as off-site communicator for emergency notifications to agencies.
• Monitor alarms and respond to safety events as required.
• Make weather and severe weather notifications to site personnel.
• Initiate and perform public address announcements to support operations.
• Dispatch response personnel and activate emergency teams as needed.
• Interface with management, auditors, and internal groups.
• Maintain knowledge of safety policies and perform duties safely.
