Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in safety and security management.
  • Instructor certification in law enforcement, emergency management or related field preferred; valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of training delivery, curriculum development, and COOP/EMI concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts safety and security training, drills, tabletop exercises, and field training to test LCPS emergency response plans.
  • Develops web-based and instructor-led training programs to improve response actions.
  • Interfaces with local, state, and federal emergency management officials on security planning.
  • Performs security assessments of facilities to evaluate safety conditions for students and staff.
  • Authors after-action reports to evaluate training performance and recommend improvements.
