Job summary

UC Health is seeking a Call Center Representative for the Public Safety Communications Center to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch units, and coordinate with police and fire agencies.

You will operate radio consoles, phones, CAD systems, monitor alarms, and maintain accurate records while providing clear, calm communication under pressure; availability for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
• Experience in emergency or security dispatch preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively under pressure.
• Proficient with personal computers and Windows-based applications; CPR/AED certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and route appropriately.
• Operate multiple channel radio consoles, telephone and CAD systems.
• Monitor alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and building maintenance alarms.
• Coordinate with police, fire, Disaster Management and other first responders; dispatch units to locations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and on-call master schedules; provide records for court cases or reports.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications.
